The Bayer Early Excellence in Science Award

With the Bayer Early Excellence in Science Award, established in 2009, the Bayer foundation adds to its program a prize designed to actively support talented young researchers in the fields of engineering and science at an early stage of their academic career.
Bayer Early Excellence in Science Award This new international award will be presented annually in the categories
 
  • Biology
  • Chemistry 
  • Materials

It carries prize money of € 10,000 per category.
Suitable candidates can be nominated for the Bayer Early Excellence in Science Award up to five years after finishing their PhD.
 
The award is presented by an independent panel of experts, honoring the originality and quality of the candidate’s achievements and the significance of this work in the respective category.
 
Upon presentation of the award, the winner is given the opportunity to teach a specialist seminar for Bayer researchers.
